Whether you are looking for a career in fashion, culinary arts, media arts, interior design or visual communications, we offer creative education in one of the world's premier cities. Our faculty provides instruction based on their expertise working in their fields. And the city of Chicago provides a unique backdrop. With two locations downtown, our college offers the opportunity not only to learn in the classroom, but also through the many events and experiences that come with immersing yourself right in the middle of downtown Chicago.

Advertising
Advertising is a creative profession within the commercial realm. In the Advertising program, you’ll study art direction, copywriting, and account supervision – and you’ll learn both the creative and business side of advertising. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as account manager, copywriter, or assistant art director.

Audio Production
In the Audio & Media Technology program, you’ll study audio recording, audio for video, and production. You’ll work on industry-related equipment to gain experience with the technology used in the audio and media fields. Coursework may include everything from recording and mixing to using software and hardware to produce audio in digital formats. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as audio engineer, radio producer, assistant sound technician, promoter, or sound engineer.

Culinary Arts*
In the Culinary Arts program, you’ll have an opportunity to gain practical experience in the kitchen while studying the business of cost control, sanitation and safety, menu and beverage management, nutrition, and kitchen management. You’ll have an opportunity to learn to produce food quickly and in quantity while working with others. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).

Culinary Management*
In the Culinary Management program, you’ll have an opportunity to focus on communications, training, leadership, management, accounting, marketing, financial management, and employee relations. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as restaurant manager or catering manager in restaurants, hospitals, cruise ships, and banquet facilities.

Digital Filmmaking & Video Production
In the Digital Filmmaking & Video Production program, you will have an opportunity to learn to formulate, construct, and deliver digital audio, video, and motion graphics. Coursework will familiarize you with advances in high definition video, storage area networks, and software toolsets - and you’ll work with industry-related software and equipment. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as video editor, video producer, or digital videographer.

Digital Photography
The Digital Photography program teaches you composition, lighting, and equipment use, utilizing a digital camera and software. Darkroom techniques, color, and design are explored both on location and in a studio. You’ll develop business skills as you fine-tune your eye for detail. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as a digital photographer, industrial photographer, photo lab technician, or photojournalist.

Fashion Design
In the Fashion Design program, you’ll have an opportunity to develop skills in design and patternmaking. You’ll have an opportunity to learn both traditional and computer generated design as you develop your own sense of design and style. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as costume designer, assistant fashion buyer, fashion designer, or seamstress.

In the Fashion Marketing & Management program, you’ll fine-tune your fashion buying and marketing skills. The program familiarizes you with merchandise presentation, visual merchandising, retailing, store management, and buying. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as retail and wholesale sales, stylist, management trainee, or visual merchandiser in department stores, boutiques, and designer showrooms.

Game Art & Design
In the Game Art & Design program, you’ll learn the art and design skills needed to get into the gaming field. You’ll use your talents to create applications used within the business, education, training, and entertainment industries. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as modelers, storyboard artists, animation artists, 3-D illustrators, digital artists, FX artists, video post production artists, broadcast graphics designers, and game designers.

The Hospitality Management program is a good choice for those who possess a passion for the culinary and hospitality industries. Whether you dream of owning or managing a restaurant, or are seeking to assume a professional position with catering companies, hotels, resorts, cruise lines or institutions the program will prepare you for a variety of entry-level positions in Hospitality industry. The program also suits individuals currently employed in the service industry who are looking to challenge themselves and broaden their career options.

Interior Design
In the Interior Design program, you’ll study the design, safety, and usability issues of creating the spaces that we live, work, and play within. Coursework focuses on space planning, traffic patterns, and the colors, surfaces, and furnishings that make surroundings comfortable and livable. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as draftsperson, facilities planner, interior designer/decorator, or space planner.

Media Arts & Animation
In the Media Arts & Animation program, you’ll have an opportunity to develop a strong foundation in drawing, design, and illustration in order to produce traditional 2-D formats. Then you’ll move into computer generated 3-D formats that make characters and objects come alive. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as animator, computer animator, digital media producer, special effects artist, background designer, computer artist, layout artist, or video game artist.

Professional Baking & Pastry
In the Professional Baking & Pastry program, you’ll receive hands-on baking skills with an emphasis on fundamental pastry and bread-baking techniques. Coursework focuses on basic culinary skills, sanitation, cake decorating, and chocolate among other things. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions such as line cook and pastry cook.

Visual Communications*
Visual communications is a fundamental element in creating strong graphic design. When you study visual communications, you will focus on the basics of design, typography, and color theory. You’ll also work on problem-solving exercises to provide hands-on experience on how to meet client needs both on-time and on-budget. Industry-related software is utilized to provide practical experience to carry over into the workplace. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as graphic designer, typographer, or visual artist.
